As if the recent wound from investment wasn't bad enough, today I received the outcome of my visa application to remain in this country.
Application rejected.
This means I can no longer stay in the UK after the middle of this month. To put it simply, I have to leave this country.
Very well then.

takpe la, its time you come back to your roots here :)
but sure you're gonna miss uk, ive been back for almost a year and i still miss it like crazy huhu
I hope there has been some misunderstanding on the part of the home office. Why should they refuse you a visa when you actually got a proper job in the UK? Yoy are POSITIVELY contributing to the country via your talent & the taxes you pay.
Wah..so strict meh...cinya !
Nik: Oh well...
CP: Yes i did call the HO. so i've submitted another application based on their recommendation. this means another £750!
Tey: Immigration law here is very strict.
Oh, Alden! What happened? Didn't your company apply for a work permit for you? With a work permit, you should be able to stay in the UK!
Kiki,
You're right. Had I opted for the work permit route I wouldn't have been in this situation. Because I went for the new Tier 1 visa which no one is familiar with. I think the Home Office too with their requirements!
Oh, can you go back to the work permit route now? Or, is it too late?
Kiki,
Have sent in a new application for Tier 1. Too late for work permit.
Good luck with it! I think you better push the HO hard by calling them or contacting them in whatever ways possible. You know, people in the UK work pretty slowly, unless you give them a real push.
pray bout it... His ways are higher than our ways :)
